According to official Chennai Metro Rail sources, the metro train coach manufactured from Alstom factory, Sricity, Andhra Pradesh has reached CMRL Koyambedu depot. This is the eighth train set out of 33 trains to be delivered from Sricity. Unloading and coupling of cars has been initiated.
After preliminary checks, the train will be subjected to testing at workshop line and then it will be moved to test track for further testing and dynamic trails. Daily test runs are conducted along the elevated stretch between Koyambedu and Alandur. Work on the elevated stations is on. Soon, metro trains will take Chennai commuters in a fast and comfortable manner.
