The Government of India has set up a Task Force on leveraging the Post office network recently, headed by Shri T S R Subramanian, retired Cabinet Secretary. As the India Post has a huge network of over 1.5 lakh Post Offices all over India, the so called 'Task Force' has been has been asked to examine and suggest ways and means of improving accessibility and quality of services offered by India Post by involving the Stake Holders.
In this connections, the Task Force has planned to visit various states including grater Chennai to collect suggestions and feedback from Stake Holders.Consequently a meeting was held involving the stake holders at the office of the Chief Post Most Master General Chennai. It was held on 29-10- 2014.A large number of stake holders attended the meeting all over the city and shared their improvement views including Chief Commercial Manager Southern Railway (Ms Priyamvadha) and Pass Port Officer from Regional Pass Port Office Chennai.
On behalf of Ayanavaram,Mr.K.Ramadoss along with K Rajendran and K Mohanarangan participated in the meeting. They requested the chairman of task force to implement the "PROJECT ARROW' scheme in various post offices including Ayanavaram Post Office which is located in a vast 11 ground site owned by India Post was declared as one among several post offices in the state. The Project Arrow status is to upgrade and facilitate better services including infrastructures.
