SBOA Farm Fest 2014

To commemorate the International Year of Family Farming SBOA School & Junior College, Anna Nagar had organized a Mega Exhibition on the role of Family Farming from November 13th to 15th 2014 at the school premises, under the banner Farm Fest 2014. Dr. R. Prabakaran, Former Vice Chancellor, TANUVAS, Chennai inaugurated the exhibition and released the Farm Fest Booklet. The In House Magazine Reflections” was released by Mr. T. Senthikumar, Correspondent, SBOA School & Junior College. The 1st copy was received by Mr. A. Krishnan, President, SBIOA Educational Trust. By 2050 global population will be about nine billion people. 

The 66th session of the general assembly of the UN formally declared the year 2014 as the International Year of Family Farming. The bright young minds of SBOA have recognized and sensitized the dangers of Family Farming degeneration. The Secretary & Correspondent Mr. D. Thomas Franco Rajendra Dev believes that the zero hunger vision of the UN can be converted into reality if Family Farmers are enabled to sustain their livelihood. School Principal Mrs. P.C. Selvarani along with her enthusiastic team of staff, students and parents wholeheartedly participated in this project to create public awareness. SBOA School & Junior College is a trendsetter when it comes to social awareness and once again FARM FEST initiated the lead to help Family Farmers increase their economic foot print and clout.
