World Record attempt by Leo School to Save Nature

On16th September, 2014, Leo Matriculation Higher Secondary School, participated in the world record attempt organised by the Assist World Records Research Foundation, India to create awareness about “Save Nature” on the “International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer”. Over 2000 students of Leo School pledged that they would keep up their natural wealth, establish green revolution, protect environmental wealth and save “Ozone Layer”.

Biodiversity leads to “A healthy and wealthy Nature”.Dr.G.Velmurugan, Chairman of Leo Mat Hr Sec School participated in the programme. Mr.V.G.Jayaraman, Director of the school, planted the sapling along with the students and encouraged them to plant more trees in the coming days. After taking the pledge, all the students planted saplings. Mrs Hepzibah Solomon, Vice Principal, Leo Matriculation Hr Sec School, advised the students who took this activity to nurture Nature for their bright future. Protecting and preserving Nature should become a priority in their lives, she added.
