Eco Clubs play an important role in creating environmental awareness amongst the future generation. It aims to provide environmental consciousness among students. Eco Club of Valliammal College for Women, Anna Nagar East, has started a greener college campaign 2014. As a part of the campaign the volunteers had brought in about 60 potted plants. They are planning to donate more saplings on regular basis towards creating a paradisiacal effect. The teacher coordinators along with the students gave the potted plants to the principal during a small get together where the importance of green environment was stressed.
