Bharat Vikas Parishad,Chennai and Thiruvallur District had recently conducted an interschool cricket and volley ball Tournament on 6th and 7th January 2014 to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Swamy Vivekananda.
The chief guest Dr.K.Duraipandian, Principal of Jayagovind Harigopal Agarwals Agarsen College, Madhavaram inaugurated the tournament. Shri P.J.Naidu president welcomed the gathering.
Shri. L.Balaji, Ranji Trophy Player, was the Guest of Honour. Former Ranji Trophy Player Shri K.L.Balaji was the Chief Guest for the valedictory function. In cricket the “Swamy Vivekananda Trophy” was lifted by St. Mary’s Mat. Hr. Sec School, Perambur. The Swamy Vivekananda Trophy for Volley Ball was won by St. Peter School, Royapuram. Seven Schools participated in the event.
