Awareness Programme On Saving Tigers

The National Green Corps (NGC) Department of Environment, Government of Tamil Nadu, Chennai District has conducted an awareness program on "Save our Tigers" at Bentink Girls Higher Secondary School,Vepery. 

Ms .Sharadha from Sanctuary Asia with the support of NGC District Coordinator G.Thangaraj screened a documentary on Tigers for 150 NGC students and explained the threats and problems faced by the National Animal. Also she demonstrated the Tigers' count in various forests and Zoos all over the country. Students interacted with the coordinator after the session and clarified the doubts raised by NGC cadets.

 Ms.Kiruba NGC teacher coordinator of the school detailed the activities carried out in school related with environment. She also stressed the students to get involved in various activities to save environment for a better future.
