The C.P.R. Environmental Education Centre (CPREEC) a Centre of Excellence of the Ministry of Environment & Forests, Government of India, and Environmental Information Dissemination Centre (EIDC), Choolai , Chennai - 112 an awareness education centre set up recently by Dept of Environment, Govt of Tamil Nadu had jointly conducted a one day workshop for 100 school teachers of Chennai on Environmental Education and Animal Welfare on Friday, July 19, 2013.
Dr.Sudhakar, CPREEC inaugurated the workshop in the presence of Mr.G.Thangaraj, Centre in charge EIDC,Chennai and Mr.U.Thirunavukkarasu Environmental Education Officer, at CPR Centre Alwarpet.The workshop covered the importance of saving our animal welfare, endangered animals and interaction with NGC teacher coordinators.
Mr.G.Thangaraj interacted with teachers and reviewed the environmental activities carried out in schools and explained the important environmental days to be observed. For details contact 98840 23824.
