Y-Block Street Needs Improvement

Anna Nagar has better pedestrian’s paths .But most streets have no usable footpaths. One such street is at Y-Block. It is reported that Y-Block First Street in Anna Nagar West has exposed cables at the street corners which is posing a danger. Every time when it rains many parts of the street gets water logged and slushy.

The stagnant rain water makes pedestrian movement difficult and creates a health hazard for the area residents. Let the concerned electricity board officials take steps to maintain all cables under the road surface so that it does not pose a danger to the road users.

When contacted, Chennai Corporation officials stated that storm water drains are constructed along many avenues and streets in Ann Nagar area.
