Among
the rain fed crops, millets figure prominently. India is the largest producer
of many kinds of millets, which are often referred as coarse cereals. However,
realizing the nutrient richness of these grains they are now considered as
“nutri– cereals”.
The millet grains are well known for their superior quality,
nutritional security and human health. One day training programme on
“Preparation of Millet Products” will be conducted by the Tamil Nadu
Agricultural University Information and Training Centre, on Wednesday,
08.05.2013.
The venue is at No.U-30, 10th Street, Anna Nagar, (Near Jayagopal
Garodia School) Chennai-40 from 9.30 am onwards. The programme is open to
housewives and any interested persons. Interested persons can contact The
