East Anna Nagar Metro Station Work Is Progressing At A Brisk Pace



According to official Chennai Metro Rail sources, work to build underground stations and tunnels at Anna Nagar East is progressing at a brisk pace along Second Avenue Road near Anna Nagar Round Tana junction. Diaphragm walls are being built below the surface at all underground station sites, including Kilpauk Medical College & Hospital, Pachaiyappa’s College, Anna Nagar East and at Thirumangalam. 

atest Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) will be used for constructing tunnels without cutting open roads. Safety of buildings above the ground will be taken into consideration when the tunnel works begin. Underground station construction work at East Anna Nagar is progressing step by step in stages. 

Traffic movement from Chintamani to Round tana is periodically diverted according to the nature of the work. Tunnel boring machines will be lowered when the diaphragm walls are constructed and boring spot are ready.
