Damaged park wall gets rebuilt

A major portion of the boundary wall for the Chennai Corporation Park and playground located at AD Block, 3rd Street, Anna Nagar was recently rebuilt by the civic authorities. But the park name board still needs to be properly placed. 

The area residents while welcoming the improvement work stated that Chennai Corporation officials should form a new beautification plan so that the entire park undergoes a transformation that will make it look attractive for public use.

 There are number of small colony recreation parks under the control of the Chennai Corporation which are widely used by the area residents, especially for morning and evening walks. According to Chennai Corporation sources, landscape development for small and medium size parks located in residential neighbourhoods at Anna Nagar, Ambattur and Villivakkam is on the anvil. Chennai Corporation has started its project for creating and developing new beautiful parks and play grounds, renovating old ones and providing improved and better facilities in existing parks.
