Indo-Australian Chamber of Commerce organised an interactive
meeting and presentation on Business Opportunities in the State of Victoria,
Australia by Victorian Employees Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VECCI). Mr.C.Sarat
Chandran, Director, Indo-Australian Chamber of Commerce welcomed the gathering.
In his address, Mr.C.Sarat Chandran said that Victoria is a vibrant state, an
economic power house and its capital Melbourne has a magical appeal. Melbourne
has a great deal in common with Chennai.
The two cities have similar business
landscape with a mix of automobile factories, information technology companies
and prestigious universities. Mr.Sarat further added that Melbourne and Chennai
both sport an ambiance of art, culture and music. During the function, both
Ms.Patricia Griffiths, Head of International Trade and Ms.Geetha Heffernan,
International Business Development Manager gave valuable information on trade
and business opportunities in the State of Victoria, Australia. Patricia in her
presentation highlighted the fact that Victoria is the most business friendly
state and one of the most livable cities in the world.
Geetha spoke more
details about trade opportunities. Mr.P.Gopalakrishna Rao, Secretary,
Indo-Australian Chamber of commerce was also present on the occasion. Following
an interactive session, Mr.N.Srinivasan, Past-President, Indo-Australian
Chamber of Commerce proposed the vote of thanks.
