Heavy rainfall once again caused waterlogged along many roads in Chennai city on 15th February 2013. Many parts of the city witnessed heavy showers and there was no end to citizens’ distress due to water logging and potholed roads.
Traffic jams were reported during rush hour as vehicles struggled to navigate flooded roads. Rain water stagnation at NVN Nagar 10th and 11th street has been posing a problem for the area residents for a long time
.The rain water stagnation in low-lying residential localities at NVN Nagar is creating a health hazards and is also causing immense inconvenience to the area residents. Motorists and pedestrians struggle to manoeuvre inundated streets in NVN Nagar, Thirumangalam. Water logging has been a persistent problem in this locality. Residents hope that the concerned authorities would take necessary action to set right the rain water stagnation problem at the earliest.
