Green Camp On Environmental Activities

The Chennai District NGC has conducted a one day camp on  Environmental Activities as advised by the directorate on 15.02.2013 at  Presidency Girls Higher Secondary School,Egmore,Chennai - 8 from 9am to 4pm.

About 167 NGC teacher Coordinators from Chennai  East, North ,Central and South had actively participated in the camp which was inaugurated by  State Coordinator  Mr.L,Durai in the presence of Mr,M.Ravikumar Dist Coordinator. 

During the first session Mr.G.Thangaraj, District Coordinator, Chennai East and Camp Coordinator  explained the various activities and events to be carried out in schools.NGC registers  were scrutinized by the dist, coordinators during lunch session. Mr.L.Durai addressed the gathering and spoke on stress management and about the various groups to be followed in the movement. Mr.Ravikumar coordinated the water management programme. 

Dr.Krishnaraj and his team explained the RO system and the various purification techniques. An exhibition on purification of water was also conducted. Water testing also been done in the presence of teacher coordinators. Mr.G.Thangaraj also briefed the teachers about the conduction of programs and competitions in near future. Also financial assistance was distributed in this program. Tea and Lunch were given to all participants.NGC students from Seva Sadan High School volunteered the program.
