The monthly meeting of Srivilliputhur Saliyar Samudaya Nala
Sangam (SSSNS) was held on Sunday, 17th February 2013 at Muktha Nirmaan
Apartments meeting hall, Mount- Poonamallee High Road, Porur. A.Palanichamy,
B.Sc, Vice-President of SSSNS welcomed the gathering. The meeting was presided
by L.Sankaranarayanan, senior member.
A special speech was rendered by
K.Tripathi, M.Sc, SE, TNEB (Retd). He gave a talk about the relationship
between the temple town of Srivilliputhur and Tripathi.
The Joint Secretary
M.Thangaraj and P.Murgan, Secretary also spoke on the occasion. The meeting
programme was organised by K.Jothimani and family. M.Muniraj, Co-ordinating
Secretary proposed the vote of thanks. The guest speaker pointed out that
Saliyar’s are spread over more than 5000 families in Chennai.
They employed in
Government undertakings and many are doing their own business, especially in
the construction line. Recently a family day was celebrated at Mahabalipuram.
Sirviliputhur Saliyar Samudaya Nala Sangam is regularly conducting meetings on
every third Sunday of the month at Porur at 4pm. The next meeting will be held
