Construction
work for Chennai Metro Rail under ground stations is progressing well below
Anna Nagar Second Avenue stretch. Diaphragm walls are placed to build
underground stations at Anna Nagar East, Blue Star junction and at
Thirumangalam.
The giant trench with diaphragm walls has been dug near 12th
Main Road. It has shafts through which the tunnel boring machines would be
inserted.
There has been considerable progress at the Chennai Metro Rail
underground site in Anna Nagar area. According to Chennai Metro Rail official
sources, 19 stations will be underground.
