More Police Constables Deputed To Manage Traffic And Help Pedestrians

The city and its vehicle population are growing day by day. The 100 Feet Road stretch has heavy traffic movement on both directions. Crossing has always been a big risk. Pedestrians find it impossible to cross the road during peak hours.

As a safety measure, extra Traffic police constables have been deputed at the zebra crossing along 100 Feet Road which links Koyambedu and Thirumangalam.

The spot is one of the busiest pedestrian crossings. In order to meet the challenge of ensuring smooth traffic management, Koyambedu Traffic Police Department are posting more traffic constables to regulate the crowd and the traffic especially at CMBT signal junction.

Traffic policemen have also placed barriers from the traffic signal junction. Chennai City Traffic Police is continuing with its safety awareness campaign to decrease the amount of road accidents and promote safe driving.
