Promoting Indian Art And Culture



Sri Sumukhi Rajasekharan Memorial Foundation conducted its 7th Visesha Kala Poshakam Utsav, in Mylapore recently. 

The event was inaugurated by Dr. C. Vamsadhara, Director of Medical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu. N. S. Jayalakshmi, famed dance guru of Kalakshetra, was also a guest. Dancer Gaana Smirnova from Ukraine performed Bharatanatyam for the finale which was very fascinating, enthralling and divine. 

Sri Sumukhi Rajasekharan Memorial Foundation has been setup by S. Amarnath, S. Surendranath & S. Aparna on 15th February 2003.The foundation contributes towards enriching Indian art and culture in Mylapore.The Foundation's website "www.srimylaporetrio.in" was officially launched and inaugurated byMs. Leela Samson, Director of Kalakshetra Foundation, on Saturday the 15th October, 2005. 

The aim of the Foundation is to bring the Unsung Heroes to Limelight and provide a cultural platform to showcase their talents.The Foundation would conducts cultural programmes in other cities & abroad on requests. The Foundation teaches good values through art, culture & heritage and helps children who need monetary support for education and other activities.
