Metropolitan Water Supply And Sewage Board Rectifies The Fault

Motorists and pedestrians found it difficult to move along Poonamallee High Road, near Anna Arch because of a huge amount of sewage overflow on the road. It is reported that the drainage water had been overflowing for past few days.

On receiving the compliant about the sewage overflowing problem effective steps were taken by Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewage Board (CMWSSB) officials to rectify the fault. But they have not come up a permanent solution to the problem. A senior CMWSSB official said that they attend to the faults of sewage overflow immediately. The main problem was due to the dumping of waste into the drains.
