The college students made pongal in the traditional way inside the college premises, which was decked up in a rural manner.
Traditional games were conducted. Folk dances were also performed by the students. Imman Annachi, SUN TV fame actively participated in the celebration. The College Principal, Dr.K.P.Malathi Shiri distributed the prizes to the winners of various events and competitions. The Pongal celebration was organised to popularise the traditional rituals and to celebrate the harvest festival in a rural manner.
