Refreshing Drinking Water Stall by Anna Nagar Traffic Police


A cool glass of water is the perfect drink on hot summer days. The drinking water available at the free water stall put up by the Anna Nagar Traffic Police, near Round Tana, Anna Nagar is clean and refreshing. The 

Police sources told the Anna Nagar Daily reporter Elwyn, that the drinking water booth will be kept throughout the summer season to help the road users and pedestrians.

 The drinking water stall is of great help during summer season. People thanked and appreciated the Traffic Police for setting up water stalls at various parts of Chennai city.

New Approach Road


A new approach roads to link 3rd Avenue Road, parallel to the Anna Arch from Poonamallee High Road  is getting ready to improve connectivity. 

The new approach road was laid, to divert traffic due to the flyover construction work. 

The link road, will provide a direct access route for vehicles entering 3rd Avenue from Nungambakkam. 

The new road is to come up along medicinal farm land which has been acquired for the flyover work. The new road is essentially meant to provide an access road to buses entering Anna Nagar, thereby reducing the volume of traffic.

20J Is The New Bus Route To Ayapakkam

The Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) has introduced a new bus route to Ambattur Ayapakkam. 

The new route 20J operates from Ayapakkam, Tamil Nadu Housing Board to CMBT Koyambedu. 

Few days back, Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa had flagged off 464 buses, including 389 new ones, in various routes across the State. 

The buses purchased for the State Express Transport Corporation have special feature better comforts for passengers. About 250 buses are e operated in new routes.

 The CM had recently directed to purchase 3,000 new buses at a cost of Rs 539.83 crore to replace the buses which have been in use for six years or operated for over of seven lakh kilometres. Flagging off the new buses, Ms Jayalalithaa handed over keys of 16 new buses to drivers, advising them to adhere to safety norms.
