The “Festival of Lights” of a different kind, namely “The Karthigai
Deepam Celebrations” was held in a glittering manner at Jaigopal Garodia
Vivekananda Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Anna Nagar on 1st
December 2012.
Shri Ashok Kediaji, Managing Trustee of JGVV Trust lit the traditional
kuthuvilakku.The school girls from VI to XII lit traditional lamps precisely at
6.00 p.m. The entire school was well illuminated. The celebrations were a
splendid cultural extravaganza. Devotional songs in praise of Lord Shiva and
Muruga further added charm and sanctity of the tradition.
