The 27th
annual Music Festival of Nandi Fine Arts in association with Vamshi Arts
Academy, Bangalore was inaugurated on 1st
December 2012 at Srinivasa Sastri Hall, Luz, Chennai.
Sri Guruji
popularly known as Tirumeni from Manikatcheri, Kerala and founder Om Shanti
Trust, Chennai lit the Kuthuvilaku and inaugurated the Festival. Sri Guruji
spoke on the occasion on the relevance of Music and about the origins of
Carnatic Music from the Sama Veda.
He blessed Nandi Fine arts and said that it
is great that Nandi Fine Arts is giving
a platform for artistes from other states.
Founder Secretary Sri. K. Muthuswamy welcoming the gathering stated that
this year the 27th annual music festival has given importance to artistes
mainly from Bangalore, Mysore, Kerala apart from Chennai. The inaugural concert
was by Smt Sumitra Vasudev followed by a flute duet by Sri B K Anantharaman and
Sri Amit Nadig, Bangalore.
