Be Careful While Driving Along L-Block

The dug up spot at the intersection of First Avenue and Sixth Avenue at L-Block, Anna Nagar East is causing difficulty for heavy vehicles to turn easily. The barricaded spot in the middle of the road has increased the chances of mishaps especially after sunset. 

After the traffic diversion in view of metro rail work, vehicles pass by L-Block to reach Chintamani, Shenoy Nagar, New Avadi Road and Parry’s. Traffic has increased manifold after the diversion but the condition of the road still remains bad. The uneven spots are now a hurdle for smooth traffic movement. 

The local area residents stated that the road was dug up for placing pipelines by the Metro Water Department. Motorists have to drive carefully near the open gaps along the road to avoid accidents. Anna Nagar East resident’s appeals to the civic authorities to blacktop the road surface as soon as possible.
