Dirty sewage overflowing for the past few days along Anna
Nagar Second Avenue is making the road to look ugly, smelly and messy. However,
the concerned authorities are yet to take up any action to address the issue.
Shop owners and customers have been putting up with stench, flies and bad
smell.
Though Chennai Metro Water sends their mobile units on request, it is
not a total solution to the problem.
Frequent desilting of sewage lines instead
of cleaning them when the sewers get blocked is the only way to manage
recurring problems. The source of this problem needs to be addressed at the
earliest. The health concerns of Anna Nagar residents needs better attention.
