A good Dance Performance L.Barathi

Sri Narthana Ganapathy Natyalaya presented the Bharathanatya Arangetram of Selvi.L.Barathi, disciple of Guru Bharatha Kala Rathnam N.Sasi Kumaran was held on 22nd July 2012 at Muthamizh Peravai, T.N.Rajarathinam Kalai Arangam, No-92, Dr.Durgabai Deshmukh Road, RA Puram, Chennai-28.

The chief guests for the function were Natya Kalai Chudar Guru Sheela Unni Krishnan, Director of Sri Devi Nirthyalaya and Nirthya Selvar Guru SR.Ravichandran, Director of Anjali Natyalaya and disciple of Guru M.Sundram. The dance performance of Selvi L.Barathi was excellent starting from Pushpanjail up to Thillana. Her dancing pose and balancing act on a pot was highly appreciated by the audience. 

Selvi L.Barathi, daughter of Mr. Loganathan (IT- Infrastructure Manager ) and Mrs L.Koperundevi is an eight standard student of Neelan Matriculation School, Guduvancherry. She has been learing Bharathanatyam since the budding age of six under the guidance of Bharatha Kala Rathnam Guru Sri.N.Sasi Kumaran for seven years. 

L.Barathi is passionate about the art of dance. She has participated in many dance competitions and won many prizes. She won the first prize in District Level Competition held at National Youth Day in Ramakrishna Mission, Chengalpattu. 

She gave dance performance at many famous temples lke Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple, Mylapore and also in Kerala Onam Festival programmes for two years. L.Barathi dedicated her arangetram to her parents, relatives , friends and younger sister L.Vanathi. Selvi L.Barathi's Guru, Bharatha Kala Rathnam, N.Sasi Kumaran is a distinguished exponent choreographer and an excellent dance teacher. 

He and his students have given a winning performance in a number of programmes at esteemed sabhas in Chennai. Guru A.Sasi Kumaran is also a member of ABHAI (Association of Bharathanatyam Artistes of India). He is currently learning higher courses on Nattuvangam and Bharathanatyam Theory under the guidance of Nirthya Selvar Guru SR.Ravichandran at Melatur Style.
