In order to improve piped water
supply with adequate pressure to the tail end areas in Ayanavaram, the special
works wing of CMWSSB is entrusted with laying of new water mains under project
work in ward 97 and 96 (Area 8) in Ayanavaram.
While laying the new water mains in northern end of P E Koil West Mada
Street (ward 96) the work is interrupted due to breakage of sewer lines which
resulted in flooding of sewage in the trenched site.
It has become a challenge to officials to
complete the work, Even though they attend round the clock for more than 3
weeks now.
The residents in the street which is blocked for traffic with
inundation of sewage like a pond are anguished and their normal life is in
disruption despite frequent representation to concerned authorities including
the elected representatives in the area.
