Construction of Electrical substation for Chennai Metro Rail has
started at Koyambedu. The receiving substation (RSS) foundation work has
started at Koyambedu depot. The pile foundation work has been completed. The
RSS work at Alandur will start soon. '
The installation of train tracks with
plinth concerting has started along the viaduct between Vadapalani and Koyambedu
CMBT stations. According to official sources, so far 80 meter of track
installation is completed.
