Earth Day Celebrations

Tree Bank had celebrated the Earth day in association with Saveetha School of Management on 30.03.2012.Tree bank had planted 500 Tree sapling in the Poonamallee campus of the management school. 

All the 500 Trees are Adopted by the students of the institute. Tree bank Chairman Mr.G.Mullaivanam had organised and chaired the event .All students and professors planted the tree saplings.Tree Bank had celebrated the Earth day in association The Park.. 

Tree bank had issued free tree saplings on the time of the light off time at 8.30pm to 9.30pm.Tree bank Chairman Mr.G.Mullaivanam had organised and chaired the event.The Park GM had hoisted the event.

Earth Day is a day early each year on which events are held worldwide to increase awareness and appreciation of the Earth's natural environment.

Earth Day is now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network and is celebrated in more than 175 countries every year. 

The name and concept of Earth Day was allegedly pioneered by John McConnell in 1969 at a UNESCO Conference in San Francisco. World Earth Day is observed all over the world on 22nd April. This is a special day that reminds the people to  share a responsibility to protect our planet.
