While constructing manholes the authorities should ensure that it along the same level of the road. If it is above or below the road surface level it causes risks the life of road users. Two wheelers commuters are most vulnerable to the accidents because of these uneven manholes. Residents of Anna Nagar said accidents have become a routine due to the uneven manholes.
“While trying to avoid these uneven manholes drivers often end up hitting other vehicles or pedestrians. The concerned departments should bear it in mind that the road surface and the manholes remain at equal level.
Uneven manholes hamper the traffic movement and increase the chances of accidents. The uneven or broken manhole covers are sometimes leading to accidents.
