The Chennai Metro Rail Company and the Southern Railway could consider linking Anna Nagar Railway Station with Villivakkam line. Now Southern Railway is planning to revive the traffic by providing connection to the proposed Chennai metro rail.
Southern Railway General Manger Deepak Krishan has earlier stated that planning was being done to link the isolated Anna Nagar-Villivakkam line with the proposed Chennai Metro rail.
