Pedestrian Crossing Requires Better Attention In Anna Nagar

The pedestrians of Anna Nagar  crossing the 100 Feet Road near School Road needs to be extra careful. As the roads are one way vehicles come in full speed on both directions. Crossing is a big risk.

After the Chennai Metro Rail underground construction work began, a majority of roads in Anna Nagar area have been made one way.

The one way roads has no signal. There is  free and fast flow of traffic.

Crossing the roads is a big problem. Only during peak hours Traffic Police are posted at busy intersections, while the rest of the time, pedestrians have to manage crossing on their own. Senior citizens find it very difficult to cross 2nd Avenue Road, School Road and also the 13th Main Road stretch.

The Anna Nagar Round Tana junction and the Thirumangalam signal junction has become very dangerous for pedestrians to cross. Better care and attention for pedestrians needs to be taken into consideration by the Traffic
