The children of Madras Institute to Habilitate Retarded Afflicted (MITHRA), based at D-171, R. V. Nagar, Anna Nagar, Chennai-102 staged a folk dance dressed in colourful costumes to highlight awareness for a pollution free environment. The children were well trained in folk dance by R.Sagayanathan, General Secretary of Udavum Ullam Social Service Organisation. MITHRA, is an institution which serves the physically and mentally handicapped. The Madras Institute to Habilitate Retarded Afflicted (MITHRA), was inaugurated on the 19th of March 1977, by Sister Mary Theodore, an Australian Missionary.
