A Cancer awareness programme by Dr.Vidhya Palanivel was organised at Shri Krishnaswamy College for Women, Anna Nagar on 12th December 2011. The programme covered the topics on Female Reproductive Anatomy, Reproductive Hygiene, Psychological aspects in women during the teenage, Proper Hygiene methods, Myths and Misconceptions, Awareness about cervical, Breast and ovarian cancer, Screening and treatment available, Importance of women’s Health, Nutrition and handling emergency situations. The sessions was a mix of lecture, group interaction and role play. The students was asked to take a pledge on maintain their health and also spreading awareness.
