Honesty Is The Best Policy

 It is true that honesty is the best policy. Today, we see many things around us which are not honest. Many persons are dishonest. Dishonesty may shine for some time. It may earn money and  power. But all this is for a short time.

Honesty is courageous, dishonesty is a coward. One good example of Honesty and dedication is Mr.S.Ranganathan, a sincere and efficient policeman

. He had put in 39 years of dedicated service in the Police Department. S.Ranganathan is a native of Wandiwash town in North Arcot District. After finishing his schooling in 1943 he immediately joined in the First  Aid Depot Service, during the Second World War. 

He worked there for one and a half years till the war came to an end. Based upon the reference by the British, he joined the Police Force as a Constable in Madras in the year 1945. From 1946 to 1950 he worked at the Egmore Commissioner of Police office and from 1960 to 1984 he worked with the Intelligence Bureau. 

He retired in 1984 as Inspector of Intelligence Bureau. Mr.Ranganathan speaking to the Chennai Plus reporter Elwyn , stated that he strictly follows the instructions and advise given to him by W.H.Wright, a senior Police Officer during the year 1945-47, even till today

. Mr.S.Ranganathan has won many awards and medals. He was also a very good sportsman who performed well during Police Sports Meets. Mr.Ranganathan’s father was also a policeman during the British days. Today at 88, S.Ranganathan is a very active person. He was truly an honest, duty conscious policeman. Mr.S.Ranganathan is a resident of Anna Nagar.
