The construction of a flyover at Anna Nagar 2nd Avenue at Thirumangalam- Mogappair Road junction on 100 Feet Road is in progress. The motorists are advised to drive slowly and carefully near the construction site. In order to ease frequent traffic snarls the vehicles going towards Round Tana are diverted by Shanthi Colony Main Road. Motorist going towards Mogappair, Ambattur, Avadi, Villivakkam, Kolathur , Red Hills and Koyambedu needs to be cautious as the Metro Rail work is also going on simultaneously.
The Thirumangalam flyover is aimed to facilitate smooth flow of traffic across the signal intersections. The pedestrians are facing tremendous hardship in crossing the road due to continuous flow of traffic.
