The photo shows patchwork been carried at a damaged stretch of Inner Ring Road, near the Thirumangalam signal junction.
It is reported than a number of city roads were damaged in the recent rains. Chennai Corporation officials said that the patchwork would be taken up on roads in all 10 zones.
Traffic has considerably slowed down at the Thirumangalam junction and Jawaharlal Nehru Salai due to the road condition.
Sources in the Highways Department said that a steps to improve the condition of city roads would taken up.
