The roads in Ambattur Industrial Estate, are now well illuminated at night, thanks to the improvement and development by the Chennai Auto Ancillary Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Company (CAAIIUC).
High-mast lamp have been installed on South Avenue Road, where accidents frequently occur, was inaugurated recently at a function organised by CAAIIUC.
The company has widened the South Avenue Road, First and Second Main Roads in the Estate.
CAAIIUC has developed Second Main Road as a model road, with nearly 4 meter wide footpath, adequate illumination, pedestrian crossing and pay and use toilet.
Ambattur Industrial Estate was commissioned in the year 1964 by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
The Ambattur Industrial Estate houses some of the biggest small scale industrial estate in South Asia. Today, Ambattur is getting transformed to hold maximum of IT sectors.
