Loyola Study Center Opens In Arumbakkam

The students of B.Sc Computer science, Loyola College, Chennai inaugurated a Padippagam (Study Centre) for the welfare of Muthumariamman Nagar slum at Arumbakkam, Chennai. The main objectives of the “Loyola Study Centre”, includes to  take tuition and special coaching to the school going children and to develop their extracurricular activities, to  give Non Formal Education for the youth and elders and to  disseminate information regarding the welfare schemes provided by the government and private sectors. 

The Inauguration of “Loyola study centre” was done Loyola  College Principle Rev.Dr. B.Jeyaraj S.J., Rev.Dr.G.Joseph Antony Samy S.J., Vice Principal and Director of Outreach, Prof. Nester Jeyakumar- Head, Department of Computer science, Prof. Jaiprakash, coordinator – Department of Outreach, Mr. Thirupathy, secretary, Residential welfare Association, Muthumariamman Nagar and Mrs.  Fathima Beevi, community leader were the special invitees who graced the occasion.
