The photograph shows Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) using jet rodding machines to clear pipelines and manholes in Second Avenue, Anna Nagar, near 12th Main Road. Today modernised jetting machines are used by the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB). By using the jet rodding machines and desilting equipment, Metro Water board is able to carry out waste removal in an effective way. In a bid to prevent frequent sewage blocks and overflow, Metrowater was operates jet rodding machines and desilting machines to remove sewage blocks and silt.
