India’s Best Baseball Contender

Gaurav Nehra, a javelin throw athlete, has won The Million Dollar Arm - “The search for India’s Best Baseball Contenders” Season 2, with pitches of 85 miles per hour. The first and the second runners-up were Gaurav Kumar from Rohtak & Kalttar Singh also from Meerut. 

The winner, Gaurav Nehra made the fastest pitch with a speed of 85 miles per hour per/hr to bag the prize money of US$ 50,000 and a golden opportunity to train at Major League Baseball (MLB) Academy in China. The runners-up also won US$ 3,000 each.

The Finals of The Million Dollar Arm Season 2, was held in the Sports Training Centre at Sports Authority of India, Kandivali East, Mumbai thanks to the support of Sri V Bhandarkar – Asst Director SAI Mumbai.

The finals had the presence of Rick Dell – Director Training Major League Baseball Asia & Robin Allemand – Coach Major League Baseball Asia, who put the participants through a 3 day conditioning camp prior to the finals. 

The three days of the condition camp of “The Million Dollar Arm” (TMDA) – Season 2 saw a lot of sweat, passion and energy from all the finalists. All 30 contenders gave their best shot to win the country’s biggest sports talent hunt. Season 2 of TMDA received a tremendous response from across the country with close to 40,000 young sports enthusiasts from all walks of life coming forward to make the cut into the TMDA finals.

The Million Dollar Arm (TMDA) is a unique and the only international talents hunt in India for all sports enthusiasts saw young talent from all over the country giving it their best shot to make a name in international baseball.
