Implement Innovative Methods To Impart Quality Education


Shri Krishnaswamy College for Women, AC-48, 6th Main Road, Anna Nagar is organizing a Faculty Development programme. The one day event titled Teacher Empowerment for  Higher Secondary Teachers was  held on 10th September 2011 at the college premises. The workshop was conducted jointly by Rev.Dr. Rev. Dr.S.Sebastian S.J, Principal, Loyola College of Education, Nungambakkam  and Mr. Raphael Edward, Vice-Principal of the same college. 

The Principal, Dr.K.P.Malathi Shiri, welcomed the gathering, which was followed by the ice breaking session of the participants.  The focus of the workshop revolved around “Motivational Factors and Strategies, using Whole Brain Learning and Learning Styles”. 

The post lunch session comprised of “Technology Based Teaching Competency and Techniques of active Teaching Learning, based on Teacher Personality”. The program was efficiently and successfully coordinated by Ms.A.R.Sasikala  and Ms.J.Selvarani, Faculty, Department of English of the College. 

The aim of the programme was to facilitate the faculty to implement innovative methods to impart quality education. The programme covered motivating factors, techniques for active  teaching. 

It enabled the teachers to enhance their teaching methodology, create awareness on various styles of learning and will focus on importance of motivation factors and strategies.
