The Chennai Corporation has adopted a resolution approving extension of deadline for completion of the Villivakkam subway. A major portion of the work on the 440-metre long subway in Villivakkam has been completed. The project is being developed by the Southern Railway and Chennai Corporation.
The height of the subway would be 5.5 meters and its width 13.4 meters. The subway would ease traffic congestion in Villivakkam, South Redhills Road and adjoining areas.
