Education For Poor Children

ICWO is a non-profitable, non-governmental organization working for various developmental project in specific focus with the multiple marginalized poor women and children for the past 17 years in Chennai. ICWO with the support of Gruppo Madras supported 753 multiple marginalized poor children for the year 2011 - 2012 in 3 phases. The phase III scholarship was awarded  by Ms.Bernasconi Giovanna, Social Worker, Ticino – Switzerland. Phase I awarded 250 children on 11th June 2011.Phase II awarded 250 children on 18th June 2011 and the present Phase III has awarded 253 children on 2nd July 2011 at Sri Mini Kamakodi Marriage Hall,   Agathiyar Nagar, Villivakkam, Chennai- 49. 

Dr.Baskar, The President of ICWO, said that education is very important for any child and wished the children all the best for their future.

Ms.Bernasconi Giovanna, Social Worker Ticino Switzerland was pleased and extremely honored to support the multiple marginalized poor children for their education. A.J.Hariharan, Founder Secretary of ICWO quoted that the children who received the support will continue their education and avoids school drop outs.
