Large open spaces, which were wasteland, are being developed into beautiful parks by the Chennai corporation. The photo shows the area near new additional Aminjikarai bridge on Poonamallee High Road has been developed into a park cum children’s play ground by Chennai Corporation Zone -5. It is just opposite to Ampa Skywalk The play ground has well laid walk paths, benches and lot of children play equipments etc. The proposal of the Chennai Corporation to develop Open Space Reservation (OSR) lands into parks and play grounds has come as good news to residents of Chennai city.
A good number of open space reservation lands is turning into parks and playgrounds.The Chennai Corporation, has been taking steps to develop and create parks and play grounds for the benefit of the residents. In fact over 200 parks are s built and well maintained by Chennai Corporation.
