90% Work Completed For The New Aminjikarai Bridge

The new additional Aminjikarai bridge on Poonamallee High Road is almost ready as 90 percent of the work has been completed. This additional new facility just opposite SkyWalk will help a lot in reducing traffic congestion especially at the Poonamallee High Road and Nelson Manickam road signal junction near Anna Arch. The new bridge will replace the old and narrow bridge, which leads to traffic congestion along the Poonamallee High Road at Aminjikarai.

The Highways Department  had decided to  construct a new bridge over the Cooum near the junction of Poonamallee High Road and Nelson Manickam Road to ease congestion along the  Poonamallee High Road stretch near Ampa Mall. The new bridge facility would ease congestion on the stretch frequently used by heavy vehicles.
