Anna Nagar Traffic Police Uses ‘Wheel Lock' System

The Anna Nagar Traffic Police are taking strict action by locking  the wheels of bikes and cars for  parking the vehicles  in a no-parking zones in Anna Nagar Second Avenue Road. 

According to the Chennai City Traffic Police, any vehicle found  parked under restricted zone or  parked in a way to cause inconvenience to the road users will be booked and fined. 


In a move to prevent parking of vehicles at ‘No Parking’ zones, the  Anna Nagar Traffic Police are using the ‘wheel clamp lock' system for  parked in ‘no parking' zones in the city. 

According to the Traffic Police sources a clamp is put on any one of the four wheels to prevent the vehicle from moving. The clamps are tamper-proof and one cannot break the lock to free the vehicle. The owner  pays the penalty amount and gets his vehicle free.
