Roadside Park By Chennai Corporation

The Chennai Corporation has created and developed  several roadside parks in the city. Many  such facilities, most of which were developed recently  are being maintained by the Chennai Corporation. 

 The  Chennai Corporation said that these facilities were initially created to serve as green space in localities where there are not many trees. 

The maintenance is with the respective zonal office. A green revolution has taken place in the City of Chennai in the form of development of Parks, Roadside Parks, Traffic Islands, Traffic Central Medians and the Space below the flyovers. This major development with emphasis on greenery reduces the carbon-di-oxide content in the atmosphere.
