Long Signal Timings Cause Traffic Congestion

A traffic jam at Anna Nagar Second Avenue Road is also due to inadequate signal timings at the Blue Star signal and also at the round tana signal junction. The digital traffic signals which started functioning at  Avenue road intervals in Anna Nagar sometimes  caused a massive traffic jam suggesting technical unfeasibility in its application. Traffic police have a hard time to deal with the traffic snarls which are avoidable. 

Though traffic signals are meant to ease traffic congestion and regulate the vehicle flow. Instead, the waiting time at signals has increased. The crossing time (time taken to cross a signal) has also increased. Most of this is due to the bad timing cycle in the countdown timers. But all this will change, and very soon, say the Traffic Police. The  police promises remedial action.
